Saga boats
Saga has a long history in building boats. Founded in 1960 with the aim to build boats of high quality and good seaworthiness. Local tradition of excellent craftsmanship is the main focus.
The yard
Saga Boats uses its own knowledge, reinforced by close collaboration with leading designers. Since the early 1980s the program has been expanded with semi-planing boats. The quality is of great importance to ensure seaworthiness. This gives Saga a common identity and strengthens the brand name Saga. It has resulted in a high second-hand value of the ships. A large part of the annual production is exported to the European market. Sweden, Finland, Denmark, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Switzerland and of course Norway itself. Saga is a quality label in both Norway and Europe.
SAGA 330 SunTop
The model offers a large open cockpit with seating for up to 12 persons. The boat is also fully equipped for accommodation for the whole family on longer trips. Fully equipped galley in cockpit with fridge, ice box and stove with three burners and plenty of cabinets for stowage. Bellow deck you find two double cabins, and bathroom with electrical toilet and shower wall.
The large windscreen with hardtop gives a well protected environment for the passengers in the deck saloon. At the same time the boat can easily be fully opened up by opening the electrical soft top in the hardtop and slide in the aft canopy.
New design on upholstery and wooden furniture gives the boat a more contemporary appearance than earlier models.
The dashboard is ergonomically designed with plenty of space for all equipment. The antireflective painting ensures great visibility under all conditions. The copilot side is equipped with separate chart table and chart light for comfortable and safe navigation.
Sun bed aft in the deck saloon is part of the standard equipment. In addition, it can also be delivered sun cushion set for the front deck. The bathing platform provides easy access for boarding the boat and for swimming activities. The built in stowage in the platform provides stowage for ropes etc. There are two passageways to the foredeck; either via the steps on the platform (used when canopy is on) or via the steps aft of the pantry (used when canopy is of).
Extra long and sturdy railing along the side deck provides safe and comfortable walking area around the boat. The center installed radar mast is hinged for easy lowering on passing of bridges or for winter storage.
The hull is a semi-planning construction with keel, straight shaft, large rudder and propeller and rudder protected by a sturdy steel keel. This is a very solid and long lasting construction. Other benefits of the semi-planning hull are a soft ride even in rough seas, great course stability also in lower speeds and lower maintenance cost. The hull is designed for cruising speeds up to 20 knots.
