The Carena 38 Bonaventura is very suitable for long hauls. The s-spant guarantees a stable yacht with very fine sailing characteristics.
On board there is more than enough comfort to stay on board for longer periods of time. the boat has spent many years in the winter in the hall.
the hull is corten steel and has an excellent paint system both underwater and above water. On the starboard side a few spots need some updating.
In 2016 the underwater hull was completely stripped bare and rebuilt.
There is some work on a yacht like this built in 1987 and that is also the case with the Courage. The teak deck is completely glued to the steel deck and that is not ideal, there is some work to that. However, the overall state of maintenance is certainly not bad and with a winter of rolling up the sleeves, a lot has been tackled!
With that said, we stress that the boat is sail-ready for this summer!
